Jokulsarlon Beach 2 by cwaddell Jokulsarlon Beach 2 by cwaddell
Been going through a few more of my photos from Iceland and quite liked this one. Again just after sunrise at the beach by the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon.

Update Jan,16th 2012:
Just heard this was one of 10 winning photos of the autumn heat in the World Wetlands Category of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Photography Competition 2011-2012 :D

how big was this piece of ice in the front? i'm getting lost in all the shapes, but looking at the ground and the waves it's looking quite huge:D

I don't remember exactly - the ones on the sand weren't huge (I think the longest piece was a little over 1 meter long).
The ones in the sea were bigger, and further down the beach there were some huge pieces like in this photo: [link]

It was also taken at quite a low angle which makes it look a bit bigger.
